Who doesn’t want to vacation like royalty? Inspired by Her Royal Majesty the Queen, this brand new mobile home on the coast of England allows you to take your holiday to the next level thanks to its uncanny resemblance to Buckingham Palace. The Royal Caravan is the first vacation rental in the world that emulates the royal property and opulent static home spares no detail.
Her Majesty’s Royal Caravan (HMRC) features a plush drawing room with a chaise longue, decadent chandelier and monumental thrones, portraits of Queen Elizabeth II herself along the corridors and the most over-the-top accent of them all: a solid gold toilet in each of the two bathrooms.
Located in Cayton Bay Holiday Park on the coast of Cayton Bay, Scarborough, the opulent mobile home includes an iconic parlour, two powder rooms and a twin chamber that is “set to turn paupers into princes.” The Royal Caravan can sleep up to four people comfortably, making it an ideal escape for families or royal-obsessed friends.
No expense has been spared with an alleged $65-$130k in total spent on the opulent renovations that took the mobile home from an everyday holiday home in the country to one of the most over-the-top country escapes in the UK, with each and every room full of authenticity, allowing guests to truly step into the Queen’s shoes—at least for the weekend.
This year HMRC will be welcoming the public for the first time ever, allowing domestic travelers to book a stay for the weekend starting from $210 (for a three-night stay). In order to find out more about the premium mobile home experience, Parkdean Resorts have created a house tour, hosted by “Queen Liz,” which will allow you to experience the iconic royal mobile home—including what she keeps in her fridge and what she thinks of the sparkling gold toilets.
