Designed for neighbourly chats, sunsets and family get-togethers, the Shorehouse captures the spirit of living by the beach at Jindee estate.
A four-bedroom, two-bathroom design with a sophisticated coastal vibe, the display is the result of a collaboration between Dale Alcock Homes and Jindee developer Estates Development Company (EDC).
The Shorehouse is also the only Dale Alcock display with rear laneway access. With the garage at the rear, it’s ideal for a range of suburbs, whether by the beach or closer to the city.

“The verandah is a perfect spot to start or end your day,” he said. “Connecting the public and private realms, it’s a great example of EDC’s vision for Jindee as a friendly, village-style community by the beach.
“With its rear garage and great sense of space, the Shorehouse could also become a modern take on a heritage home in areas such as Subiaco, Cottesloe and Wembley, where demolish-and-build projects are popular.”
The super-high ceilings in the Shorehouse reach to 38 courses in the kitchen, living areas and master suite, giving the home a height and volume reminiscent of traditional homes in older suburbs.
“This is a generous home,” Mr Alcock said. “The sense of space really is one of its features, with room to easily accommodate those big family gatherings.”
The beach house styling is casual yet sophisticated, with natural materials highlighting relaxed spaces, and an easy transition from inside to outside. Accents of pink and citrus complement sandy tones and soft greys.
Dale Alcock Homes Design and Drafting Manager John Care said the Shorehouse was a modern family home with a great connection to the neighbourhood.
“Without the garage taking up space at the front of the house, the front verandah becomes the focal point, with room to sit with friends for a drink at the benchtop bar,” he said.
“The verandah flows easily into the main living space and then out to the central courtyard, which draws lots of natural light into all areas of the home.”
Well-planned storage is a priority in the home, with streamlined floor-to-ceiling cabinets in the huge kitchen and custom designed storage in the mud room. Adjoining the laundry, the handy mudroom also offers the family pet some quiet space.
Mr Care said the wealth of design ideas on display included tall awning windows, an office nook to one side of the kitchen and timber screens to add definition without detracting from the openness of the floor plan.
In the master suite, the dressing room has been set behind an open-ended wall. Separated from the bedroom by a timber screen, the ensuite features a freestanding bath, floating vanity, double basins and a big shower.
Outside, fresh white and sandy coloured render complements the display home’s beachside setting.

Designed for a 15m-wide block, the Shorehouse is open Wednesdays from 2-5pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 12-5pm or by appointment.
