Matawan Man Accused Of Filming Girls In Bathroom Of Brick Home

MATAWAN, NJ — A Matawan man was arrested this week and accused of secretly filming young women as they used the bathroom in a Brick home, and uploading the videos to two adult websites, Ocean County Prosecutor Brad Billhimer announced.

Michael Mattina, 54, of Matawan, was arrested Monday. Prosecutors say he secretly installed a hidden camera in the bathroom of a Brick home, and recorded six female victims, including one sixteen-year-old victim, as they used the bathroom.

Further investigation revealed that Mattina posted videos of the victims on two adult websites, allege police.

Mattina was charged with multiple counts of invasion of privacy, distribution of obscene materials, distribution of child pornography and endangering the welfare of a child.

Brick police and the Ocean County prosecutor’s office High Tech Crime Unit investigated the case.

He was processed at Brick Township Police Headquarters and released on a summons pending a future court appearance.
