SAN ANTONIO – Will the massive renovation in the works at Alamo Plaza move forward as planned? And will the Cenotaph be moved? We may know the answers in just a few weeks.
In this week’s edition of our podcast ‘San Antonio’s Voice,’ Randy Beamer talks with San Antonio City Councilman Roberto Trevino about the progress of the Alamo Master plan he’s overseeing and what could force big changes to it.
Treviño also reveals a new test run about to begin that could help revive San Antonio restaurants struggling in the age of COVID-19. Plus, he talks to Randy about a new program to help the homeless that’s seeing early signs of success and there’s also some talk of an addition to the Riverwalk (that could be years in the future). Check out the podcast.
In 2014, the City Council appointed Treviño to the interim City Council District 1 seat. Since then, he won re-election in 2015 and 2017. Treviño has a bachelor’s degree and a MBA from Texas Tech University. The councilman also serves on the Alamo Citizen Advisory Committee, the Alamo Management Committee, and the Bexar Appraisal Board, among others.
